HIGHQ DEVELOPMENT & CONSULTANCY
Custom HighQ applications
for the way your firm works.
A spreadsheet can record the work. A well-designed application can help your team manage it. We build bespoke HighQ applications that bring structure, tasks and shared information into one practical workspace.
Discuss your projectGive a recurring process
a clear home.
When requests arrive through email and progress lives in separate spreadsheets, it becomes difficult to see what is outstanding and who needs to act. A HighQ application can give that process a consistent structure, with information and work organised around a particular legal service.
Oryon Legal designs and develops applications within HighQ for law firms. We start with the decisions your team needs to make, then shape the records, views and workflows around those decisions. The objective is an application people can use in their daily work.
What we design
- Matter and request tracking. Capture the information needed to open a request, identify its owner and follow its status. Keep the fields focused on what the team actually uses.
- Structured information. Use HighQ iSheets to organise records and create useful views for different roles. Agree what each status means and who keeps the information current.
- Connected workspaces. Bring relevant documents and tasks alongside the records they support, so a user has a clear route from an update to the next action.
A PRACTICAL STARTING POINT
A matter tracker
with a purpose.
Consider a practice group that needs to track recurring client requests. Before building, agree the minimum intake information, the responsible person, the status definitions and the information that should remain internal.
An initial application might capture requests, show open work by owner and link to the documents for each matter. Testing should include incomplete submissions, changes of owner and closed matters. This is an illustrative starting point; the final design depends on your process and HighQ configuration.
From scope to a working solution
- Define the work. Choose one process, identify its users and agree what a successful first version needs to do.
- Design the structure. Map the records, permissions, views and hand-offs before adding automation or additional features.
- Build and test. Develop within HighQ and test typical work as well as exceptions with the people who will use it.
BEFORE WE BEGIN
Questions about HighQ applications.
What is a custom HighQ application?
It is a configured solution within HighQ for a particular process, such as request tracking or a matter workspace. Its records, views, tasks and documents are designed together around that process.
Can you work within an existing HighQ environment?
Yes. We begin by reviewing the relevant configuration and existing ways of working, then agree the scope of the application. Changes should be tested before they are introduced into live work.
What should we prepare before discussing an application?
Bring a description of the process, a sanitised example of the information you track and the roles involved. Avoid sharing client documents or confidential matter details in an initial enquiry.
