THOMSON REUTERS HIGHQ
Import Excel to HighQ iSheets.
Map, review, then import.
An application built by Oryon Legal for Thomson Reuters HighQ. Choose your spreadsheet, map its columns to an existing iSheet and review the data before creating new records.

A clear mapping.
A spreadsheet supplied by another team may use different column names, include title rows or contain columns your iSheet does not need. The Excel importer lets you select the worksheet and header row, then choose which columns supply each supported iSheet field.
Unique matching column names are mapped automatically. You can review and change those mappings before importing. Duplicate headers include their column letter so you can tell them apart.
How the import works
- Select. Open an XLSX, XLS, XLSB or CSV file and choose the destination iSheet.
- Map. Select the worksheet and header row, then connect spreadsheet columns to iSheet fields.
- Review. Check rows and resolve errors. Missing required mappings and invalid values block the import.
- Import. Create new records and download a report showing each row's outcome and record ID where creation is confirmed.
What happens to the spreadsheet?
The application reads the original workbook in the browser. It sends the mapped values to HighQ to create records; it does not upload the original workbook to an external processing service.
Use the right route
for your data.
HighQ already includes native Excel import. Our application provides a focused mapping and review workflow for spreadsheets with different layouts. We help you decide whether native import meets your needs or whether this application is a better fit for your process.
Supported data and scope
The current application supports text, numbers, dates, choices and web links, with files up to 10 MB, 5,000 data rows and 200 columns per worksheet. Choice labels must match the configured options. Dates and numbers use explicit formats.
This version creates new records. Updating existing records, detecting business duplicates and importing attachments, users, iSheet references, documents or folders need a different workflow. Partial imports can occur; the report helps identify confirmed and unconfirmed outcomes before you decide what to do next.
Configure it for your firm
The importer runs within a HighQ custom page. We configure the destination sheets and field definitions, then test representative workbooks and the intended user permissions in your environment. It has been tested in our HighQ environment with an administrator account; other user roles need their own checks before rollout.
BEFORE WE BEGIN
Questions about this application.
Can I use an Excel file with different column names?
Yes. Select the worksheet and header row, then map its columns to the destination iSheet fields. Unmapped extra columns are not written to HighQ.
Does it update or deduplicate existing iSheet records?
No. This version creates new records. Review the source data for duplicates and do not reimport rows that were already created.
Does the importer support CSV?
Yes. It supports CSV as well as XLSX, XLS and XLSB files, within the application limits described above.
How can we try it in our HighQ environment?
Contact us with a description of the destination iSheet, the intended users and a sanitised sample spreadsheet. We can scope configuration and a test before rollout.
