HIGHQ DEVELOPMENT & CONSULTANCY
HighQ client portals.
A considered client experience.
Give clients a clear place to find documents, follow shared work and see what needs their attention. We design HighQ client portals around a particular relationship, matter or service.
Discuss your projectMake shared work
easier to navigate.
A client portal needs to answer practical questions: where is the current document, what has changed and what action is required? Its structure should reflect the information the client needs, rather than reproduce the firm’s entire internal workspace.
Oryon Legal designs tailored HighQ portals for law firms. We bring the relevant documents, updates and tasks into a clear experience, with access boundaries considered as part of the design. The portal should support collaboration while preserving the distinction between internal and client-facing work.
What we design
- Document organisation. Agree a structure and naming approach that make the relevant documents easy to find. Decide which material is shared, when it is published and who is responsible for keeping it current.
- Matter updates and shared tasks. Show the updates and actions that help the client understand progress. Use clear descriptions and responsibilities, with a level of detail appropriate to the relationship.
- Access and navigation. Design the workspace around the users who need it. Review permissions with the firm and test the experience using representative client and internal roles.
A PRACTICAL STARTING POINT
A matter workspace
designed from the client’s side.
For a shared matter workspace, begin with the information a client needs when they open the portal: relevant documents, a current update and any actions assigned to them. Keep internal notes and working material outside that client view.
Before inviting users, test the workspace as a client, as an internal team member and as someone who should have no access. Confirm that documents, records and tasks follow the intended permissions. This is an illustrative design approach; access requirements must be reviewed for each project.
From scope to a working solution
- Define the audience. Agree who will use the portal, what each role needs and what information must remain internal.
- Shape the workspace. Organise documents, updates and tasks into a structure that supports the client’s actual work.
- Review before launch. Test navigation, representative content and access boundaries with your team before inviting clients.
BEFORE WE BEGIN
Questions about HighQ client portals.
What is a HighQ client portal?
It is a workspace within HighQ that a firm uses to collaborate with external users. Depending on the design, it can bring together shared documents, project information and tasks.
Can different clients see different information?
HighQ provides access controls, but the design and configuration need to match the firm’s requirements. Permissions should be tested for each relevant user role before a portal goes live.
Where should we begin?
Choose one client relationship or service with a clear collaboration need. List the documents, updates and actions to share, then agree who owns that content and how it will be maintained.
