MORE POSSIBILITIES / HIGHQ ISHEETS
Did you know your iSheets
could do this?
Build a dashboard around your team's decisions. Bring selected HighQ data into an external reporting tool. Give people a custom interface for their work. Your iSheet records can be the starting point for much more.
SIX WAYS TO BUILD ON YOUR DATA
One source.
More possibilities.
These are examples of projects we can scope around your HighQ environment. Each starts with the information you already capture and a specific job your team needs to do.
- 01 / SEE THE WHOLE PICTURE
Custom dashboards.
Bring selected records from several iSheets into one view: open matters, approaching dates, work by owner or requests waiting for review. Choose the charts, filters and layout around the decisions your team makes.
Imagine: a practice group dashboard that takes you from a summary of outstanding work to the records behind it.
Explore custom dashboards - 02 / USE DATA WHERE YOU NEED IT
HighQ data.
Outside HighQ.Extract selected iSheet data through an authorised integration and prepare it for a reporting tool, an internal application or an agreed export. Combine it with other business data where the process requires it.
Imagine: a scheduled portfolio report using HighQ matter data alongside information held in another system.
Explore external reporting - 03 / SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE
An interface
built for the task.Present the relevant information as matter cards, a focused search screen or a guided review. A custom page can help users find the next action while authorised records remain in HighQ.
See an example: our client portal design demo shows a different way to present matter information, using fictional data.
Explore the portal demo - 04 / PUT RECORDS TO WORK
From a record
to a document.Use reviewed iSheet values to populate a document or form. Agree the field mapping, show what will be used and leave room for a person to check the result before it leaves the team.
See an example: our G-28 generator prepares an editable PDF draft from a selected HighQ record.
Explore the G-28 generator - 05 / CONNECT THE NEXT STEP
Connect your
working systems.Scope a connection between an iSheet and another application: pass an approved request to an internal system, return a reference or prepare the information needed for a follow-up action.
Imagine: an approved intake record creating a linked item in another system, with an agreed owner for exceptions.
Explore connected workflows - 06 / MAKE IMPORTS FIT THE WORK
Spreadsheets
with a clear route in.Build a focused mapping and review experience for incoming spreadsheets. Help users select the right columns, identify invalid values and understand which records were created.
See an example: our Excel importer creates new iSheet records from reviewed Excel or CSV data.

Your dashboard.
Your questions.
“What needs our attention this week?” is a more useful starting point than a list of charts. We can design a custom HighQ dashboard around that question, bringing together the relevant iSheet information and a clear route to the underlying work.
A team lead might need workload by owner and outstanding approvals. A client might need a simpler view of their matters, recent updates and next steps. The available data and intended audience shape the solution.
We first assess the native options in your HighQ environment. Custom HTML, CSS and JavaScript can then provide a particular layout or interaction where the project calls for it.
Our interactive client portal demo illustrates a custom presentation. It uses fictional data and is not connected to a live iSheet.
Your iSheet data.
A wider role.
The HighQ iSheets API provides a route for authorised applications to work with records. A custom integration can retrieve agreed data, transform it into a useful format and send it to a destination your firm has approved.
That could mean preparing a dataset for Power BI, generating a recurring CSV or JSON export, or supplying an internal dashboard outside HighQ. We shape the connection around the reporting needs of your firm.
Choose the records and fields needed, the destination and how often the data should refresh. An external report also needs its own access controls; HighQ permissions do not automatically follow a copied dataset.
Availability depends on your HighQ API access, permissions and the destination system. The Thomson Reuters iSheets API documentation describes the platform methods.
FROM AN IDEA TO A WORKING TOOL
Start with the information.
Build for the outcome.
- 01 / THE SOURCE
Your iSheet records
The agreed fields and records your application needs.
- 02 / THE CONNECTION
Custom code
The mapping, presentation or integration built for your process.
- 03 / THE RESULT
A useful working tool
A dashboard, report, document or interface for the intended users.
YOUR IDEA / OUR STARTING POINT
What would make your iSheets more useful?
Can we start with the iSheets we already have?
Yes. We can review the relevant records, columns and access with you, then agree one focused use case. A new application may use an existing iSheet, although its data structure may need changes to support the intended process.
Does the application have to run inside HighQ?
No. A custom interface can run within HighQ, or an authorised integration can supply an external tool. We choose the approach around the users, available API access and where the information needs to be used.
Can a connection update records as well as read them?
Where the available APIs and granted permissions support it, a project can include creating or updating records. We agree which system owns each value and how conflicting changes or failed operations should be handled.
What should we bring to an initial conversation?
One question your team struggles to answer, or one repetitive task you would like to improve. Add a sanitised example of the relevant fields and tell us who would use the result. That gives us a practical basis for scoping the work.
